Frequently asked questions

When do online sales stop?

Online sales will stop half an hour after kick off time on the day of the match

Can I get a refund if I buy a ticket but I decide not to use it?

Tickets are not refundable if the match takes place at the planned date and time.

What happens if I have purchased tickets and the match date changes?

The tickets you have will be valid for the rearranged date - you do not need to do anything. The barcode will still be valid, so just bring your ticket with you on the rearranged date.

I have purchased a match ticket for a game, but I am no longer able to attend the match. Can I request a refund or give my ticket to somebody else?
You can’t transfer the ticket, but we can exchange your ticket for a future game. We would only consider a refund in exceptional circumstances. Email [email protected] and explain the situation.

How many emails will I receive after booking?

After making a booking, you will receive a confirmation email. This is not your ticket, it is just a summary of the order you have made and the reference number for the booking. Presenting the order summary at the turnstiles will not allow entry to the ground.  If you have purchased tickets and chosen to have them delivered to you as e-tickets, you will receive a separate email with your tickets attached in a PDF file, from "Box Office" entitled: "Your Ticket Delivery".

My ticket delivery email is often delayed - what can I do to make it come through faster?

Each email provider will have their own rules around the number and type of emails that they will allow to be delivered. Delays can sometimes occur with Microsoft based accounts - i.e. hotmail.com, outlook.com and live.co.uk email addresses.

Adding our delivery email address [email protected] to your contacts will help email servers to see that the email is coming from a known source.

What should I do if I haven't received my e-ticket?

Typically, you should receive your tickets within 30 minutes of booking.

It is not uncommon for emails to get held up in a queue or diverted to a junk folder, so be sure to check those.

I can't open the attachment in the ticket delivery email - what should I do?

etickets are delivered in a PDF file. If you are unable to access a PDF on your device or computer, download Acrobat Reader and you will be able to open the file. You can do that here https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

Do I have to print my e-ticket?

You could show your e-ticket on your phone if you don't have access to a printer. The scanner just needs to be able to read the barcode on the ticket.

How will my personal data be used?

Your data will only be used by Hitchin Town FC. It will not be sold on to third parties. You can update your contact preferences in the 'My Account' section when you log in.

Can I only get a ticket for matches at Top Field using the online link? What about if I turn up on the day – will you have normal turnstile sales operating?
We will not be selling any tickets on the day of the game at the turnstiles. Every ticket for every match at Top Field will have to be bought online in advance via our ticketing site.

I’m over 80 and I noticed my entry to the game is free. Do I need to obtain a ticket online?
Yes. Everybody who enters the ground on the day as a supporter will need a ticket; firstly because we know the exact number of people within the ground and secondly for track and trace compliance should we ever need to use it again.

I am disabled and bringing my carer with me, are they entitled to any concession?
We will give the carer free entry to the game with a ticket -  you will need to email [email protected] to arrange this.

I am a season ticket holder – do I need to buy a match ticket for cup matches?
Yes – the season ticket only covers our matches at Top Field in the Southern Premier League for 2023/24. All matches in cup competitions require you to purchase a match ticket to enable entry to that game.

I have ordered a match ticket, but I still haven’t received the ticket to my email address. What shall I do?
Firstly we recommend checking your email junk folder, as the email confirmation sometimes ends up in there. This is particularly common with Hotmail accounts. If not, please email [email protected] and explain the situation – we will try to solve it for you.

I have purchased a match ticket, but I have accidently deleted the email that it was sent in. What shall I do?
Email [email protected] and explain the situation – we will try to solve it for you.

Must I show the ticket that has been sent to me, or will a printed email confirmation of purchase suffice to gain entry?
You must be able to present a QR code icon for scanning at the turnstiles to gain entry to the game – either a printed ticket or via your Smartphone. A printed confirmation of payment for a ticket or tickets without the QR code for scanning is not sufficient to gain entry to the game.

My son is playing in the match for Hitchin Town and I have previously been able to attend the game for free, with my name on the pass list. Can I continue to do this, this season?
There is a small pass allowance for players’ relatives – but he must inform his coach at least 24 hours in advance of the game that he would like a ticket for a relative. Passes will only be issued to those names that the coach submits to the club in advance. This only applies to League matches – it does not apply to Cup competitions.

I have purchased a match ticket for a game, but I am no longer able to attend the match. Can I request a refund or give my ticket to somebody else?
You can’t transfer the ticket, but we can exchange your ticket for a future game. We would only consider a refund in exceptional circumstances. You would need to email [email protected] and explain the situation.

I have bought a ticket and the match has been postponed – what shall I do?
Your ticket is automatically valid for the rearranged game, and you don’t need to do anything. If you aren’t able to attend the rearranged game then we can arrange an exchange for a future game, but we regret that we cannot offer refunds in the cases of postponed games unless we consider the circumstances to be exceptional. Please email [email protected] if you would like to exchange tickets for another game.

Will I still be able to get a match programme at the game?
Match day programmes will be on sale in the Club Shop (£2.50)  at games this season, Contactless card payment is preferred, or if paying cash, the correct cash payment will be accepted. We will only provide change if we have it.

What time with the turnstiles open for entry to matches at Top Field this season?
For 3pm kick-off, turnstiles will normally open at 2:00pm. For 7:45pm kick-off, they will normally open at 6:45pm.

I want to support Hitchin Town FC at an away game this season. Can I buy tickets through the Hitchin Town website?
These will generally not be on sale via the Hitchin Town FC website. Many clubs in our League use ticketing systems, some use the same system as us, and if you can, you are advised to buy tickets online in advance. We will release information on how to gain entry to away matches near the time of the game, via social media and our Club website.
